Zach Bane Wins Fayetteville Shale Play Fishing Tournament

Searcy, AR - Zach Bane, a Crew Chief in Morrison-Shipley's Searcy office, recently teamed up with his father Larry to win first place in the Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Fund Fishing Tournament held on Greer's Ferry Lake. Zach and Larry bested 78 other two-person teams participating in the event held on April 23rd and 24th at Devil's Fork.

According to their website, "Established in 2006, the Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Fund is a volunteer organization with members representing companies working in the Fayetteville Shale play.  The group’s mission is to encourage and enable individuals to pursue educational opportunities that will prepare them for or advance them in jobs in the Arkansas oil and gas industry.  The Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Fund has donated $285,000 to date to assist students enrolled in the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton's Petroleum Technology program."

Zach is a 2008 graduate of UACCM with an A.A.S. in Surveying.
