Bentonville, AR - The City of Bentonville has selected Morrison-Shipley to prepare construction documents for the public infrastructure associated with the city’s new Community Recreation Center. The 80,000 SF Center will be located on 36 acres near the intersection of Highway 12 and 112 in the southwest area of the City. Morrison-Shipley's services will include the design of various improvements, including a new entrance road from Highway 112, a perimeter road within the site, extension of water & sewer mains, drainage improvements, and a walking trail.
Morrison-Shipley will also be working with lead architect, Barker-Rinker-Seacat Architecture of Denver Colorado, to provide civil design services for site improvements associated with the building. The total project budget is $12.6 million, with public infrastructure improvements estimated at $2.5 million of the budget.
David Wright, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Bentonville will lead the project team. Other team members include Crossland Construction Co., Inc. (Construction Manager) and Hight-Jackson Associates, P.A. (Associate Architect).
