New Adult Development Center in Rogers to Replace Aging Facility

July 10, 2009

Rogers, AR - A new 32,000 SF facility in Rogers will replace the aging Adult Development Center of Benton County.  Sited on a 6.8 acre tract near the 24th Street and Highway 102 intersection, the new $3.3 million facility is much-needed by area residents.  "Their existing facility had been added onto multiple times, they were short on handicap accessible bathrooms, they had no AC in the work room, and they had multiple roof leaks.  If anyone in this community deserved a better facility, it was definitely them!" stated Heather Robason, P.E., Morrison-Shipley's Project Manager.  Morrison-Shipley's work on the project included design of site improvements and large-scale permitting through the City of Rogers.

Hight-Jackson & Associates Architects led the design team for this project.  Other team members included HSA Engineering (MEP) and Tatum-Smith Engineers, Inc. (Structural).  Crossland Construction Co., Inc. is General Contractor.  The project is scheduled for completion in 2010.
