New Airport Land Development Plan Adopted

May 26, 2009

Bryant, AR - The Saline County Airport Commission has adopted a new Master Land Use Plan prepared by Morrison-Shipley that outlines future development on the AIrport's east side.  The plan encompasses more than 300 acres located on the east side of Runway 2-20 that may ultimately accomodate approximately 2 million square feet of industrial and manufacturing facilities.  The Plan also includes a new section of the Raymar Road extension, currently being planned by the City of Bryant, that will lead from Interstate 30 to the new Rock Island Parkway located south of the Airport.  Morrison-Shipley President and Project Manager for the Land Plan, Neal Morrison, P.E., noted "The successful development of industrial uses on the Airport is highly dependent on the unimpeded access that the Raymar Road extension will offer to the Airport.  This link is crtical for accomodating high traffic volumes that this development could attract."

Morrison-Shipley is pleased to be assisting the efforts of State Senator Shane Broadway of Bryant and the Saline County Economic Development Corporation to promote the Airport site with their business prospects.
