December 16, 2008

Fort Smith, AR - Morrison-Shipley Engineers, Inc. has been selected by the Fort Smith Airport Commission as the Airport’s Engineer of Record under a new five year contract.  MSE’s selection continues a longstanding relationship the firm has had with the Fort Smith Regional Airport.  Greg Shipley, P.E., Executive Vice President of Morrison-Shipley and Program Manager for the Airport contract said “We are tremendously honored by the Airport’s continued confidence in Morrison-Shipley to provide for their engineering needs, and we look forward to the challenges this contract presents in light of anticipated Federal stimulus funding.”  Since 1996, Morrison-Shipley has completed eight major airfield and landside infrastructure projects with a total value in excess of $20 million.  These projects include the Airport’s Passenger Terminal Complex, numerous airfield pavement rehabilitation projects, and the Airport’s perimeter road.
